On January 14th, GM unveiled the brand new 2021 GMC Yukon featuring some brand new options and the addition of a trim level.

The Yukon lineup is lead by a remastered Denali trim level and introduces the first ever Yukon AT4!

Read on to discover some of the brand new options that are available on the 2021 GMC Yukon.

Available Technology

Technology remains at the forefront for the GMC Yukon.

Nine available camera views, including High Definition Surround Vision, make parking, trailering and maneuvering tight spaces a worry of the past!

Available 15″ Head-Up Display can project customizable vehicle information directly onto the windshield. This helps keep your focus on the road while still checking speed and other important stats periodically.

According to the GM Pressroom, the Yukon also features:

  • Broader availability of active safety features, including Automatic Emergency Braking1 standard on all models. Additional available features include HD Surround Vision Camera1, Rear Camera Mirror1, new Rear Pedestrian Alert1 and more
  • New trailering features designed to help improve the experience with hitching and more driving confidence when towing a trailer, including trailer profiles, trailer tire pressure/temperature monitoring and Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert1

Interior Space

Already spacious, who thought that the interior space could become even better in the 2021 Yukon? Not us, but none the less it has!

Check out the spacial improvement below in the handy little chart.

The 2021 GMC Yukon offers 40% more third row leg room and 65% greater cargo volume behind the 3rd row! No longer will you have to deal with the fight of who has to sit in the very back!

Both the Yukon and Yukon XL offer a lower, flatter cargo loading floor allowing easier access to the cargo space.

Access to the third row is also improved with the addition of sliding second row seats.

Engine & Power

The standard engine on the 2021 GMC Yukon is an all-new 5.3L V8, and an all-new 6.2L V8 engine, that delivers 420 horsepower is available as well and an all-new 3.0L inline-six turbo-diesel engine joins the lineup.

All three engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Yukon and Yukon XL are expected to be the most fuel-efficient full-size SUVs with the Duramax 3.0L turbo-diesel engine.

Capability

Available four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension offers ride-height adjustments of up to 4 inches total, as well as an automatic self-leveling feature. When driving off-road, drivers can raise the body up 2 inches for some additional ground clearance.

The Yukon will now boast the ability to automatically lower the ride height ¾ inches to improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency while drivingat high speeds. A driver-selectable setting will also allow height adjustment while parked for ease of access.

Magnetic Ride Control uses sensors to continually read the road and alter the damping rate of the shocks, helping maintain a smooth ride on any type of road.

Available electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) manages torque laterally across the vehicle for increased confidence on the road and off the road. By transferring power to whichever wheel has the best traction, wheel slip is managed smoothly.
